July 12 - Harbour island

On the 12th we had a guide to take us tuna fishing in the afternoon.  We woke early for some body surfing at pink sands beach.

After a quick lunch at the hotel, we met our guide who loaded the live well with live bait.

We head out the south inlet and it was way too rough.  It was a good solid 6-8 footers on the southeast side of the island.   We attempted to get a little past the inlet to see if conditions improved, and they didn't.  We thought the conditions would be better on the north end, but since the girls were beat up, we dropped them off and the boys headed north to try to find the tuna.  We fished live bait and had a couple bites.  A couple times the tuna were around the boat but wouldn't eat our live bait.

John had one on for a while, but eventually spit the hook.

While the boys fished, Gillian and and mom explored the town, and went to the blue bar for lunch.  They enjoyed lounging around with the great view.  They relaxed some, showered up and then walked the docks until the boys came back with a gagster yellowtail.  The only keeper of the day (no pics).

The day ended with another grown up happy hour and fish sangwhiches, cookies, and fast and the furious.
