July 7 - GTC to Schooner Bay

After a quick packing, we left Green turtle Cay headed for Schooner.  We got to the fuel dock to top off and was radioed that we left some shoes at the house.  We headed back to the marina collected the shoes and left just before a rainstorm started.

We narrowly escaped the rain, but never saw a drop.  On the way to schooner, we stopped for lunch at Capt Jacks in Hope Town.  Its an old favorite where Mimi and Pappy used to like to go.  All the sandwhiches served on fresh homemade bread.  They have the best grilled cheese according to Gillian, and the kids always enjoy feeding the oversized dock snapper French fries.

The view of the lighthouse is always worth a shot!

On the way to schooner we trolled for about an hour on the way in.  Charles landed a nice Skipjack that turned into Tuna salad later in the trip.  Best boat sangwhiches ever!

We pulled into schooner and immediately felt at home.

John jumped to his favorite bridge for some evening fishing (of course he caught!) while we cooked dinner and prepared the TV for another Fast and the Furious.

The kids took the cart that evening for some exploring and star gazing.
