We woke early for our crossing from Schooner to Harbour Island. It was hard to leave such a relaxing place where we had miles of beach to ourselves, but we were after some new spots this year.
It was a little bumpy but the crew (and boat) handled it well. We arrived at Devils Backbone at high tide and high sun and were fortunate enough to follow in a sportfish to mark the path.
It seemed like a small marina, but there were a lot of boats.. a lot of BIG boats. Ours was one of the smaller ones, including some of the tenders for the bigger ones. ha!
Upon arrival there were manatees in the marina drinking fresh water. Gillian and John pet them.
We then went to pink sand beach. It was beautiful to see the bright blue water against the pink sand. We spent some time swimming and relaxing.
We went to the grocery store and saw some Horse Shit, and No shit hot sauces. Unfortunately there wasn't any bread in town.
We finished the day with a grown up happy hour at the docks, imported Costco Lasagna, cookies and Fast and the furious.
